During the 'Appliance Industry Summit' & '25th Lodz SEZ Anniversary' event on 26-27 May 2022, Sirmax Polska received the prestigious 'GROHMAN AWARD' to recognize the 'Continuous Growth Strategy', that Sirmax has been demonstrating since the first Kutno production plant launch back in 2006. This year's edition of 2022 is a jubilee edition, 25 years since the establishment of the Lodz Economic Zone in which Kutno, the homeplace of our two plants in Poland, takes part. The continuous and consequent production capacity investment strategy and the creation year-by-year of new job positions was realized based on six in total Special Economic Zone activity permits received withing this time. The Group has continued to invest in Poland including the 2nd production facility launch in Kutno in 2019, with total investments exceeding PLN 300 million, that makes Sirmax a real protagonist in Kutno.
The origin of “Grohman Award” is the historical Lodz fabricants family Grohman, who was one of the pillars for the “industrial revolution” of Lodz in 19/20th century. Moreover, the today’s site of Lodz S.E.Z. where the ceremony took place is located exactly in the historical buildings of the former 19th century, Ludwik Groman’s textile factory.
Sirmax has been present in Poland for more than 15 years through the construction of two production plants. The Kutno 1 plant was built in 2006 with a total capacity of 85,000 tonnes per year of polypropylene compounds for the automotive and home appliance sectors, Kutno 2, which opened at the end of 2019, produces around 30,000 tonnes per year of special compounds (LFT, GF and Flame Retardants), engineering plastics, styrenics and polyamide, and thermoplastic elastomers (TPE).
We would like to thank all the Lodz Special Economic Zone Management Board and all the Sirmax Team for this particular recognition and we are delighted to be part of the Lodz SEZ technology ecosystem! We invite you to follow our LinkedIn profile to stay up to date on our Group's news and contents!
